Gyrðir Elíasson's Artist Trilogy

Sand River Sketches, South Window, and Sorrow March comprise what is known in Icelandic as Gyrðir Elíasson's "Artist Trilogy". Each book is a standalone novella, and while the trio can be read in any order, when taken as a whole it becomes a multi-faceted commentary on the pain and isolation that often accompanies artistic creation.

A different artist's perspective drives each story - a painter, a writer, and a composer.
